Richard Cory

My opinion on Richard Cory is, the poem makes no sense considering it doesn't really explain as to why he killed himself. Although the poem doesn't explain his reason for killing himself , you could kind of put two and two together and realize that Richard Cory was a man whom others depended on , looked up to, and dreamed to be. I feel like Richard corys reason behind his suicide would most likely because he was too depended on. As in others waited for him to make some grand heroic act that would bring the poor riches. Richard Cory was probably a man whom was loved in the nieghborhood but he too was probably too poor to provide for himself, therefore he most likley ended his life to show others they shouldn't depend on others to take them out of the darkness for which ones self must work towards getting them selves out into the light.
